HGV Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations using a delivery truck or flatbed. This is a crucial role in our organization as you will be ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to our customers.

Duties:

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
• Load and unload goods from the truck using appropriate equipment
• Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure on-time deliveries
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transportation
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery details
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols

Skills:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
• Ability to operate a flatbed truck or other commercial vehicles
• Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and sitting for long periods of time

You must be willing to sleep in your allocated truck 4-5 nights a week for this role. NO SHARED VEHICLES, every driver is given their own unit that only they will use (may change when services are due, breakdowns etc)We are offering £180 per shift up to 13.5 hours, anything over 13.5 hours will have an additional £20 with an increased rate of £200 on a Saturday and £220 on a Sunday. There is also an uplift of £20 per shift for any shifts starting from 19:00. 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays and a night out allowance of £26.20. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Live Bird Driver to join our team. As a live bird driver you will be responsible for transporting live birds to various lairages . This is a crucial role in our organization as you will be ensuring the timely and safe delivery of the birds.
